Why not try the new version (Antec 902)? Has dust filters, better cable management, better fans, and an all-black interior. Also, use combo deals! Newegg used to have awesome combo deals, but they'll still save you money.

Here's a TruePower 750 + Antec 902 for $200:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.612607

Also, the i3 560 is a very good processor, but a Phenom II X4 would be a superior and probably less expensive choice. The i3 is only a dual-core.

Here's a HUGE money saver. The Phenom II 955 + this 790X mobo would only cost you $205, as opposed to the $250 you would have spent.

Hope this helps!

I also gave a lot of thought to an amd processor, but sadly, I am one of those people who just likes intel better than amd. I have always used intel so I like to stick with the cpu type which I know the best.

intel is fine, but do not spend 150 on an i3, i got mine brand new in box for 100 even. 100 is a fair price but 150 is far too close to the $200 point of the i5.

I see. Well, the first Core i3s are a complete waste of money for gaming and all apps in comparison to the Phenom II X4 955, as I wrote in this thread: http://www.overclock.net/general-pro...l#post12624539.

So, if you want more processing power and the ability to SLI, not to mention OC, I would instead go with:

EC Blitz Black Case: $40

Asus M4N75TD Motherboard: $100

Antec EA-500 500W PSU: $60

Kingston HyperX 1600MHz DDR3 RAM: $50

AMD Phenom II X4 955BE: $140

Cooler Master Hyper 212+ CPU Cooler: $30

Um, why exactly? The Phenom II X4 955 wins 25/31 against the Core i3 540 in Anandtech's CPU bench

It even wins in 4 of the 4 gaming tests.

Read this. Core i3 vs Core i7.

I'm not saying that in some games he won't see a benefit from a quad core, but Core i3s aren't "a complete waste of money for gaming and all apps."

Yeah, but the i3 is not terrible compared to the amd. the amd beats it, but not by a lot and even still, i just dislike amd and i am willing to take whatever slight reduction in graphics quality.

Against the Phenom II X4, they are. They get absolutely trashed. The Phenom II X4 955 won in 80% of Anandtech's comparison tests

And now-a-days, you do see a noticeable increase from going dual-core to quad-core in games. For the first time, most new games coming out are multi-threaded. Many games in 2010 were multi-threaded, too.
