Yea it is a pain as i originally started with a budget of £500 now its have pretty much doubled as i kept adding better products lol. No need to ask i just get a 650w to be in the safe zone never like to scrape things. Spykerv what do you think of my hard drive situation?

Erm not sure why no one has mentioned this yet but SB is duel Chan memory the kit you mention in the first build is triple Chan.

Aside from that I would recommend a faster disk for your primary drive, if you cant go SSD yet maybe a hybrid momentus XT.

2500k is the way to go for sure, might be worth considering 6950's instead of the 570 cards seeing as they are so easy to unlock into 6970's.

For the motherboard have you considered the Asrock boards, not as well known or respected as asus but you can get allot of nice features on a relatively cheap board they have decent warranty and are now the 3rd biggest manufacturer of mobo in the world.

I don't really know what much about computers so im a bit confused about your first sentence. I always prefer Nvdia to Ati so it will be either the 570 or 580. Never heard of that brand of board but i have brought a Asus P8P67 Pro, Still deciding on my hard drive.

in your first build post you had a 6b memory kit 3x2gb this is for older intel systems. sandy bridge uses 2 channels not 3 so you want multiples of 2 stick of ram IE 4 or 8gb instead of 6.

the p8p67 should be a great board asus stuff is rock solid, just working on a budget like yours sometimes pays to look at the less mainstream manufacturers to get more bang from your buck.

fair enough on the ATI vs nvidia thing but I will say your best bet is to ignore what you are a fan of and just buy whichever gives you the best performance per £ especialy when working on a medium budget. Your choice though

looking through these rigs i'm seeing allot of h70's and not allot of air coolers, imo (coming from someone who owns one) the h70 just isnt good enough to warrant the cost. get a decent noctua (or similar) high end air cooler and it will give better deltas and lower noise and be cheaper especially if you are looking at a case like the HAF where case temps are going to be low anyway

Thanks Dr216 for the information you learn something new everyday. My budget can afford to get a 580 so i thought i go for it. Unless it will benefit me going for a 6950 and spending the extra money somewhere else?

Just a question, have you gone through the process to see if your allowed credit from scan? i remeber someone deciding what build they want etc then failing the check.

just a thought, better to have the guarantee then the High hopes to be dropped down

also worth checking
www.Overclockers.co.uk
www.overclock.co.uk (different site just sameish name to confuse you
www.novatech.co.uk
www.tekheads.co.uk
www.kustompcs.co.uk

Think that's most of the ones I use ^^

The 580 is I believe the most powerful single gpu card on the market today but personally I would get the 6950 unlock it to a 6970 and pocket the £200 to drop somewhere else in your box but that's just me

toms hardware, good general list of the best price/performance graphics cards remember a 6950 may as well be a 6970 for all the effort it takes to unlock them
