Thread Starter
Hey all,

Sorry if this has been asked before... My search has not yeilded anything

I have a New Build here that I water cooled, and seeing that I have water cooled the CPU I have no CPU fan. I would love to disable or work around the boot error that I get.

"CPU FAN ERROR"

Is there a way to diable it?

Thanks for you help.

Asus removed "disable xxx fan" readings from their bios?? That would suck...

Ok, I assume you mean that when you get the error that you would like it to continue booting without you having to press the "F1" key to continue.

Under the above assumption this is what you do. Go into the BIOS and go into advanced then go to the Boot tab. Under there is an option called "Wait for "F1" if error". Set this option to disable. Now save and exit.

Now when it boots it will not stop and ask for the "F1" key to be pressed. The error will still show up and you will hear about 4 beeps from your MOBO, but it will not stop booting.

One thing to remember is that once you disable this option the boot up will never stop for an error so if you are doing stuff that might cause errors that need to be caught before it boots make sure to re-enable this option first.

Just go into the bios, go into advanced mode, then Monitor, then select to Ignore CPU Fan Speed Readings.

Edit: Didn't see the post was that old.
