engineering samples get released to OEM's and stuff so they can test em for when they release machines for consumers

occasionally these ES chips leak into some other people's hands
same goes for intel

For an estimation for us clients/users, divide this by 6 for estimated PPD of an 8 core variant
180,000/6 = 30,000 PPD!!!!!!!
That's nearly 3 times what you usually get from a Phenom II x6, and absolutely pwns Sandy Bridge, twice, up and over.

Considering we'll probably be using better performance RAM among other things, be overclocked or stock but have more turbo on 8 core variant vs. 16 core variant.... Bulldozer wins

Why would you use 512m of RAM with that kind of setup?

Obviously fake.

Edit: Oh, it says G.
Still fake.

And 500MHz turbo core is turned off for BD interlagos.
UH OH !!!!
BD turbo is sustainable (within TDP), quite opposite to SB

from the source

translated (i'm chinese)
that means

for 4x 16 module/core; not sure (I'm assuming he means 8 cores/16 modules, not 16 cores) Bulldozer Opteron's, F@H PPD is roughly 78,000 YES 78K!
this is leaked for people running F@H to show them what BD can roughly do.

for a comparison Bulldozer vs current gen Opteron's
the AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 6134 x 4 (32 cores in total) gives a PPD of around 18,000k PPD

Clock speed of the Bulldozer CPU is not stated
I'm believing him more than anyone else, if he translated it himself...

It says 4 16-module BDs chips in a server configuration gives a total of 78k PPD. That's 19,500 per proc. It's certainly pretty good, but it's nowhere near the 30k+ people seem to be mistranslating it as.

servers can use more RAM then we do
and it could be a RAM disk idk

it could be 4x 16 module or 4x16 core server configuration......
the blog/forum post doesn't state in detail weather it means core or module

all it says translated is "4x16 Bulldozer Opteron"

yes I translated it myself
if you want a rough translation
throw it into google translate, it should roughly be around the same translation as mine but maybe less detail

with turbo enabled, probably 3:00-3:10 ??

with 512g ram, you can install fah into ramdisk and be total latency free..
