its not just the length of the sword, but the thickness and design of it that also contribute to its silly look, and that swords really made that way would be next to useless in combat.

compare actual swords to the design of the ones in the game. Then notice that their use of the sword is completely impossible. The lightning quick combat and all over the battlefield like a frigging ninja.

then compare them to something from the witcher, or witcher 2. His animations are much more grounded in reality, along with using the swords appropriately.

the guy is shooting fire balls dude, reality went out of the window a long time ago. If it's fun, it's fun.

personally i find the over the top animations and stupid special effects tend to ruin the immersion in the game.

I can deal with the spell effects, but the animations really kill this game for me.. Not to mention Bioware must think the people that buy their games are quite dumb, especially the console gamers.

I played the demo last night. I WAS going to skip this game b/c I wasn't impressed with the 1st since it had the feel and lack of polish of Bioware's side-project, but after getting over the awkward camera angles I started to enjoy it a bit. The fight scenes are a little over the top but
