I never played the first one, after playing the demo I won't be buying the second either. I'm quite disappointed after all the hype, not that I'm much of a RPG fan though.

I'm kinda worried about both Dragon Age 2 game and Crysis 2. They both have had disappointing demos. Previously I had planned to buy these the day they came out, now I plan to sit and wait. Plus, I'm kinda pissed PC games are starting to be priced at $60 now.

My Direct2Drive key is available and I installed the game using a Chinese VPN. You can see the DirectX11 and high-res options in my screenshots here.

Can you apply it to the demo? I'd like to make my own before/after pictures.

Rofl for reals. You've got dragons, darkspawn, giant ogres, people who can use magic and shapeshift.....and people are worried about how accurate the sword weight is?!
A wise person once told me that people will forgive anything once. If your entire premise is based upon how an alien has super powers because it's on Earth and not at home, that's fine, and if you let that mean that this alien can now fly, shoot laser beams out of its eyes and is indestructible... People will let that fly too.

People start to complain however when that same character is walking forwards, heedless to bullets, yet ducks when the gun that fired them is thrown at him.
Want to see how ridiculous that scene is?

When you accept that some things are going to be close to real life (like how people act with regards to strength, speed etc), which we do when we enter most fantasy worlds these days, I know that I don't mind the odd inconsistency, but I'd rather something felt closer to being real to make the things that aren't feel all the more impressive.

Maybe I just suck but this game is freaking hard on hard...might have to switch back to normal. Party members drop like flies and as a mage I can really only survive about 4 hits max, which with my limited spells right now is happening a lot. I cannot afford healing pots to keep my tank up and my heal spell takes forever to refresh lmao.

I'm liking it a lot so far though. It does bug me that most NPCs don't seem to talk or be interactive really. It's not much worse then the canned crap that NPCs repeat over and over in every other game though. I'm not far in though a female superseded my early game play. I've got about 13 hours to play now though.

Still in the process of reading the Game Informer article and they are completely and utterly wrong about the combat in the PC version.

**edit** Guess they saved themselves by saying "unless you increase the difficulty". I agree that the lack of being able to zoom out more sucks. I'm hoping they patch that back into the game. I've made an official request on their support page...wish me luck lmao!!! The combat is plenty fun and challenging on hard...not sure about normal yet.

That was the one thing I seriously hated about the demo. You have my full support.
