Anyone use an H70 with aftermarket fans?

Thread Starter
So I'm looking at a sandy bridge build once motherboards are back in stock and there are several options to choose from. I've currently got a loop in an antec 1200, but frankly the novelty has worn off a bit, and I'm ready to go back down to a mid tower and also make it easier to concentrate on homework while the PC is on lol.

I've seen alot of mixed reviews on the H70, some love it, some say it's overpriced and not much better than air. I was thinking about getting an H70 and buying a pair of Scythe Slipstream fans, the ones with ~110CFM. I understand I'm not going to get a REAL watercooled overclock, but after seeing so many people hit 5.0GHz+ on these new chips, I figured 4.5-5.0 with my desired new setup is reasonable.

SO...is there anyone who has already done something similar to this? Happy or not? Did you see much of a difference between the stock fans and the aftermarket fans? +rep for any input!

Cheers!

You should check out this thread

They preform as good as the high end air coolers.
If you can find one used & at a great price. Then good.
If not, then spend your money else where.
