Hey guys
Alright, this is probably the most annoying problem i've faced lol. I have a 6870 card. A week ago I tried to update my graphic driver from 10.10 to 11.2. So uninstalled the driver (using driver sweeper in safe mode etc which was probably what cause the problem) and then i installed the new driver. Restarted the computer. But annoyingly it wasn't installed:S i dunno if thats the correct word for it but my Ati technologies folder in program files is empty. In device manager under display adapters it says "standard VGA Graphic adapter". So my graphic card is not detected.
There is no CCC installed.
Windows 7 64bit is my OS.
I have been going at this for like 3 days uninstalling and installing again, tried another 6870 from my friend, tried older drivers, tried another slot, but no hope. I made sure that I'm installing the 64 bit one. I tried restoring the deleted files due to driver sweeper. I've pretty much tried evrything. I just dont want to reinstall windows.
I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to computers so honestly any help would be greatly appreciated
also When i select custom install i only get 2 options to install which is very weird:
1) ATI Catalyst Install Manager
2) ATI Stream SDK v2
and nothing else.
