Too much vcore! 1.55v is max safe vcore, going over that is pushing it. Also, your mobo might be limiting your OC, since 7xx series mobos seem not to go over 250 - 270 too well.

Have you considered that you've reached the CPU's limit? You're already pushing over 1.6V for vcore....

You are running your NB around 2800,which means your are stressing the IMC somewhat, especially with 8GB of RAM.Might find a little more headroom by backing the NB down to around 2400 or dropping down to 4GB .Not any benefit to doing this though, other than suicide screens. For best system performance I would stay where you are at and maybe try and bump your RAM speed a little. What voltages are you running? The Asus boards are known for their Vdroop also, you may get a little more stability by adjusting your LLC settings.I found around 30% to be best for max overclocking.

1.6v is to much, i know, am gone set it back to 1.55v max.
but there has to be a way to get it stable at 4.2 Ghz.
And maybe it is my mobo. any suggestion for a much better mobo?

And guys thank for replying.
appriciate it.

No idea. That only shows part of it. What's your NB at? How about CPU-NB voltage? Why is your RAM so painfully low?

And ignore the haters. 1.60v is perfectly safe under water with REALLY low temps.

With your 4.2GHz clock, make sure your NB is clocked fairly decent (probably 10x), and give yourself up to 1.45v CPU-NB voltage. See if that helps. Could very easily just be your NB not having enough voltage.

And no, you have one of the better motherboards for AM3 .

and i'm glad that my mobo is still one of the better ones, i haven't got him that long.

Thanks for your reply pioneerisloud.
