Its how to setup 3D vision surround.

Aka use three monitors with surround.
Unlike what you think, which is without surround.

You know, fine print reading and all.

For surround, you need three monitors with exact settings (resolution, refresh rate).

Also, just saying, 8800GTS doesn't support surround, so...

Yes. Getting a relatively new PCI-e card such as G210 or 8400GS would be better than a century-old TNT2 PCI card lol

Good luck finding drivers for a TNT2 PCI card for Windows 7 x64 .

Ah right, I didn't know that. I read through it all, but didn't know that all the monitors had to be the same; my bad.

Yeah, the 8400GS looks alright for the price; it's pretty cheap. Looks like it might block air flow to my bottom card a little though. Hmmm.
Would I be able to use my current drivers and keep SLI enabled if I got that card?

TNT2? I bet not, it's really old
I'd just go for a 8400GS, some should be passively cooled, which you want.
My friend was using a 7100GS (passively cooled) along with his GTX260s, worked great.

Sorry, I meant the 8400. I've found one that's passive and looks pretty low profile, so it should fit.

Seeing as you have the three monitors and the 2 gpu's in sli, why don't you just try plugging it in and see if it works?

I had 3 monitors being powered off of 2 gpu's sli'd. Admittedly in windows I used 2d surround, but in linux I didn't, and it was fine. So I'd expect you'd be fine. Try it before you go buying another gpu.

I'm waiting on a VGA/DVI cable in the post as the monitor didn't come with any.
Were all your monitors the same size?

In SLI you can use 1,2, or 4 displays in non-surround. You can use 3 in surround only. For surround the monitors have to be the same res and freq. I have 2 different res monitors monitors and a TV. If I want all of them running at the same time I need to shut off SLI. Since the TV is in another room I have no need to have them all running at once so I shut off the monitors when gaming on the TV.
