Haha wow it's definitely your service not your hardware. 0.49mb/s upload is terrible for streaming anything let alone hd video.

Yea. Thats why I said that I was planning to upgrade to Fios' 25d/25u service and asking if there is anything I need to change/buy/etc for streaming.

Won't know until you actually upgrade your service, but odds are no.

Sorry, just ragging on people for needless overprovisioning at an expense.

If you're streaming to the internet you will 'only' be able to upload at 25 mbit from your house with the FiOS 25/25 plan. It is irrelevant if your computer can reach your modem at 1000 mbit as your service plan is limited to 25.

You shouldn't need to purchase anything else after switching.
As stated, .49 up is horrendous.

Ah I see, thank you both for helping me out! Since I commute to college I still live at home which meant that my parents had picked out the internet package way too long ago.

Time Warner Cable: Internet+TV ~$122/mo (15/0.49)
Fios: Internet+TV ~$110/mo (25/25)

I should have had a look at ISPs sooner >.>
