XFX is fine for reference cards

I wouldn't touch their non-reference cards though....

Personally i prefer MSI and Sapphire, I have had excellent RMA experiences with both

"Other People" was one person. Everyone else was saying how they hate company bashers, how nice the double lifetime warranty is, and that the warranty void if removed stickers do not apply for north american markets...

And if you really wanted to help someone out, you would have explained why one card is better over the other, not "XFX Sucks".

Out of those 3 I would take the Diamond or MSI, I like ref cards though. The box look and they way cool and perform seem to last forever.

well i still get 30fps on metro2033 with my 5770's oc'd...
which are both xfx haha
im also wondering if the gtx 580 $ will drop alot when the 590 drops...
i mean they cant sell a card that costs much more than a 580, which means it will be in the same market, which means the 580 will drop!

im not interested in reference cards, i see plenty of oc ability with afterburner/ccc no need for bios oclocking, and i think the fans on powercolor look cool, lol, so when the crysis 2 dx11 patch comes out and assuming the twins cant handle it, ill pick up a 6970 or gtx 580 if it costs about 100dollars less for some freak reason like when the 460 started dropping

Reference = a "known" quality for one thing ie. you know what you're getting. The other aspect is watercooling or the ability to go water with it, which will make it more valuable when it comes time to sell.

so i cant remove the fans from like a twin frozr and add water cooling?
i see the known quality point though.
what about bios oc? ive inferred that people want reference to do that...

Companies don't typically make blocks for non-ref designs. Yea, ref is best for voltage control, etc. Though non-ref types like the Frozer put an emphasis on overclocking so they retain or add in more voltage options. It's the el cheapo non-ref that most ppl avoid. Although, the watercooling block part remains whether its a cheap non-ref or the high end ones.
