Mem test RAM errors??

Thread Starter
Hi this is my first build I have finally stabilized my system at a decent overclock. I thought I had everything stable thus far until I ran memtest. I got errors under 100% scan on both RAM. Sooo I don't know if they are just bad, or do I need to mess with the timings? I am running recommended timings, but I have heard of aggressive and tightening timings ( I don't know what these mean btw) But here are my settings, if you need more don't be afraid to ask.

Hardware:
AMD Phenom II x6 1055t
OCZ Special Ops Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin SDRAM DDR3 1600
Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H

BIOS:
CPU Clock x14 @3360Mhz
CPU NB Freq x10 @2400Mhz
CPU Freq 240
HT Link x8 @ 1920Mhz
Mem Clock x5.33 @1279Mhz
Timings
8T
8T
8T
24T
(I guess you just do the top 4 numbers? Everything else I left alone)
DRAM Volts 1.650V
CPU Votls 1.4750V

I am new to overclocking the voltage settings seem high for my current clock. I have seen other 1055ts with 4Ghz at around 1.47 which is where I am??? Anyways RAM help, Overclock help, Suggestions, everything is welcome.

Thanks

Hmm, Id like to know if RAM settings can cause Memtest errors too.

I don't either but I know nothing about RAM settings....sooo.

It can, but this is not as apparent when running overclocked memory. Memtest86+ is good for finding defective memory modules, but for testing overclocked memory stability in OS, the best to use would be HyperPi 32M & HCI Memtest.

xd_1771 I am going to become your protege. Haha. Ok well it has been running now for like 3hours and no errors... should I get the other things too? I also can't run prime now....I don't know why that would be, last night I let it run for 30 mins but let it stop because I don't have the mosfet cooling (as requested by you). So idk.
