The HD is a smaller version of the original gtx 570. Its just a shorter non-reference card, no hardware differences just a smaller more compact PCB

And a full size HDMI 1.4a connector which supports a higher bandwith for 3D

I heard that it's louder too. Is it?

Well, if they are exactally the same length than you know that the GTX 570 HD will fit. The card is actually said to be quieter than the normal GTX 570 (I have the GTX 570 HD in my sig, if you didn't notice)

The GTX570HD appears to be a GTX560 reference card with 570 guts. It has the same cooler and rear power connections also. Most people wonder if the card can run cool on the GTX560 cooler pulling so much more power.
