Wifi problems with android phone

Thread Starter
Hi guys my missus has a huawei ideos u8150 android phone.

I have recently reinstalled windows 7 but after that she has only been able to connect to the wifi on our modem which is a thompson tg782t from telstra when she is standing right next to it but even still it still keeps dropping out. Before the reinstall she was able to get it 20m away from modem but nothing now.

Please help with this matter as it is very annoying.

What does reinstalling Windows 7 on the computer have to do with her phone?

Just adding a bit more info is all, thought it might help with diagnosing the problem.

Ah, telstra and their weird naming schemes. Firstly, nobody knows what you are talking about at all, secondly, formatting your PC should have no effect on a router (assuming that is a router, it isn't a next g dongle thingy is it?). There must be something else affecting it.
