New Problems.

Hey all, been reading stuff on this website for a bit now, love the reviews!

I couldn't seem to find a specific forum here that would really fit my situation, so I'm gonna give posting in here a shot.

Firstly, my rig:

Intel i5 760 2.8GHz
MSI P55A-G55 P55 ATX LGA1156 Motherboard
4GB DDR3 G-Skill Ram 9-9-9-24
2HDDs (500 and 300GB) WD I believe
XFX Radeon 6870 1GB
650-700w PSU (forget which)

Just today I switched 2 things, went from a 24" Monitor 1900x1200 to a 21" Monitor 1680x1050.
The 24" was a friends monitor I was borrowing, I returned it to him today and switch to my old monitor.

Also changed from stock cooling to a Noctua NH-D14 Six Heatpipe Dual Radiator CPU Cooler

To install this I had to completely de-assemble my computer so I'm having trouble pin pointing what might be the cause of the problem.

So my problem right now is that my computer will start up, I'll see the mobo screen, system checks for HDDs, then windows just refuses to start. I am able to enter the BIOS so I checked to see if maybe my CPU was overheating due to possibly not installing the heatsink properly, the temp is was at 27 degrees.

The screen stays black, the light on my monitor stays blue as if something is being displayed. I have tried switching the DVI cable to the other slot on the video card.

Any suggestions as to what may be going wrong would be appreciated, or any methods to troubleshoot.

P.S. If you think there is a more appropriate forum to post on I will. (or a mod can move it)

Edit: Just reconnected my HDDs to make sure my main HDD was hooked up properly.
Still same problem.

Problem solved.

For some reason the boot order was switched around and as soon as I switched it windows started up.

I didn't think that this was a likely situation seeing as the 1 hdd has the master switch, and the other has the slave.
