Thread Starter
Ive been getting the urge to play some DotA lately so I decided to fire up WC3:FT and get on battle.net but I keep getting an error. It states that battle.net is having an issue writing a file to my hard drive, I figured it was a patch error so I went to the website and manually installed the patch, after installing it auto booted into wc3 and I managed to successfully connect to battle.net. However I needed to go download the newest dota version so I did and then went to my program files(x86) and booted WC3 from there and attempted to connect but it gave me the same hard drive write error. I thought the Dota file may have been the issue so I removed it but no luck. I have done 2 complete re-installs of the game to no avail. Does anyone know what the issue is?

Edit: it appears I have to run as administrator.

Install it in a non-protected file or run it in admin mode.

I've had weirder stuff happen with WC3 >_<... my old AMD chip apparently had an issue running it with dual cores, number of games actually, and made it run about 50x faster, did this too with Battlefront =P, worked actually was the funny part.
