Okay, I can't seem to make it behave like vertical toolbar
It only auto-hides when there is a wider sidebar enabled.... this is fairly annoying
Any way to disable this?

I like things out of the way until I need them and only having what I really need on the screen. However, this is just--

Yup, that's correct, say like, your instance, hover mouse over the sidebar switch, the bar will open, but then gotta click on bookmark or ext button to make either panel to show inside the bar.

Only thing I have AIOS configured have downloads open in its own owners program [for me downthemall] or [firefox default DL manager], have the toolbar act like opera and then the thin sidebar switch enabled.

No, what's happening is, the vertical iconbar is not auto-hiding itself when none of the sidebars are actually opened. It only does that when a sidebar is opened. To have a sidebar suddenly invade half the screen when all I want to do is change an adblock plus setting (I keep those unused icons on this toolbar) is a bit inconvenient for me..... is there no way to configure it so that the iconbar will also auto-hide without any sidebar opened?

By trying it, seems only way for it to show & close is if the mouse is hovered over the either the thin or thick switch, but does not auto hide like the start menu bar on XP or Win7.

That's what u want correct? Like autohide on Win7 or XP start bar as an example?

Yes, exactly... though I don't use autohide on the start menu bar at the moment, that was what Vertical toolbar allowed me to do properly.

Looks like I'll have to make do with my old habits, as said they die pretty hard.... but I do like that the download manager and/or addon manager can be opened in a sidebar. This was a pretty promising replacement. I think there are addons to put at least the download manager in a sidebar which is great.

Thanks anyway

I don't really customize anything, all I've done is re-enabled the old menu bar in Firefox 4 final, and the only addon I have installed is Noscript.

Wow I'm surprised no one is using stumble upon. I couldnt live without it when I used firefox. Most addicting addon ever. I would literally spend hours just sitting there hitting that button in anticipation of the next random thing to come up. Its pretty much crack for your pc.
