HX 650 Handle GTX 260's in SLI?

Would an HX650 handle 2 GTX 260's in sli with 7 fans total each pulling about 3 watts , a Phenom II X3 and 2 HDD's?

GXT260 is 182w and draws a bit more in bench. X3 can take up to 160w in OC depending in speed and voltage. That 650hx can do 52a/624w on 12v so it should be fine.

Is it true the HX650 can truly handle more? I heard they're underrated. I'm considering adding another 6950 to my setup.

Most Corsair units usually do a bit more than its specs but in your case, 6970 draws more than 250w in bench and x6, it can't handle CF.

It's irrelevant whether the HX650 can handle more than its rated ~650W... your system with two 6950s will run easily on a good 650W unit.
