Frame lag on Asus u50f

Thread Starter
Around a year ago, I bought an Asus U50f (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220763) before I really knew to much about integrated video cards and them sucking on laptops. I played WoW and starcraft on it for around 6 months with basically no frame lag at 30fps and mid settings. Recently I started playing a lot of counter strike source. About 10 seconds of every minute of play is at around 20fps, which is basically insta death. I figured that a year old computer would be able to run css fine, since my old laptop that's around 5 years old, could easily run CSS at mid settings with a constant frame rate. Should my laptop be having issues running counter strike and other source games (even worse lag in tf2, tried cfgs for both, and 800x600 with little boost in frame rate). If my computer really is that awful, is their anything I can do to get a steady playable frame rate out of counter strike? thanks for any help.

I don't see anything that should be causing intermittent frame drops. The only thing bad about that laptop is the gpu and you're only playing css so that shouldn't be a problem. Hell im pretty sure my phone can play css. Try updating all of your drivers and messing w/ settings. Make sure you don't have vsync enabled in css. Other source games I'm not suprised that you lag playing them, as the newer ones like TF2 are more demanding.
