Windows 7 and SSD's in a RAID 0 - Allignment & Tuning question

If two SSD's are in a RAID 0, and the result gives me one LUN, Will W7 know it's an SSD and automatically set the "offset" during the install?

No need to worry about any offset. Just let windows handle the format and install. Let it put the 100mb partition on it, and your offset will be fine.

What about tuning? Will W7 know it's an SSD if the RAID controller is presenting a LUN? I know if an SSD is not in a RAID and is just a standalone disk W7 see's it and can identify it as an SSD as well the the other attributes like manufacturer, disk type, model # etc....
Now if it's in a RAID it's a differn't story.

Windows 7 knows it's an SSD when a rotation speed query is reported as zero.
