Buying HTC HD7. Any opinions before I make the jump? - Page 2

win mo 7 is a good OS, although it may not have the customisation of android or the apps of iOS it is one of the best OS's I've ever used and frankly is fun to use when used properly. If your a tinkerer android is where you should be (although win mo 7 is growing in that department) and if you need access to a wealth of apps iOS is where you should be (although android isn't far behind now).

Your choice really, it just depends on what you are going to do with your phone smile.gif

So just got my HD7 today! Freakin awesome. Netflix blew me away. I was expecting like, crappy streaming, freezing, constant issues. NONE. I was waiting in the car for my GF by her house so I decided to watch some that 70's show and it was flawless

Good to hear smile.gif

HTC makes good phones, and Win Mo 7 compliments their phones. Once it gets some app support it will be a brilliant combo.

I feel like the only one who thinks this... more dev support, screen is nicer, stock interface is better ect. I love my desire and I think the only brand of phone that will be able to replace it is another HTC.

It is pretty awesome, everything on it is better or as good as the Galaxy bar the speaker. Noticed its a little weak? Yours the same!?

Other than that better in almost every aspect!

agreed, even if I own a captivate redface.gif
but i love it and though I regret it sometimes, I keep reminding myself I blew quite a bit of $ on it wink.gif

Won't be getting a new phone unless its running Gingerbread with some awesome features; so my next upgrade will be late next year perhaps before MWC.

and back @OP
the HD7's a nice phone, WP7's a nice mobile OS, but i still prefer Android over it wink.gif

I find the build quality comments puzzling as the phone seems very strudy to me. Even the backplate. I also have a nice case on my phone to make the button pressing a bit easier. I have never liked to have cases on my phones but some of the ones out for the HD7 just fit so well that I don't mind it.

Yeah, I'm use to phones speakers being terrible though... I had a play with a friends wildfire today too, feels and looks the same(even the OS) but the screen is crap. Whats the difference between the wildfires and desires screen again?

...and HD2's were crap when they were released (no offense, but they were compared to what else was available, there wasn't win mo 7 or android on it up until recently). Seriously, the HD7 is a good phone, and will most likely get similar treatment to the HD2 in the near future.
