Custom WC case built, VIDEO and pics..

Thread Starter

Hey guys, here's another update on my progress. I started this thread:
http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...surrected.html

I finished cutting and bending the aluminum mounts for the rad and fan controller, and finally got all the holes cut and everything is hooked up!

And now I've got all my parts for the external part mounted and filled with distilled water, right now I've got it running through a gallon jug while i leak test.

final update will ensue later this week when i get to actually hook this bad boy up to my comp

2 resivoirs and a milk jug? I is
I'm assuming that the gallon jug is just there for filling the loop but why 2xres?
Are you going to add another pump for two loops or am I missing something?
I am also assuming that this is an external cooling box for your main pc, so your pc will take the place of the gallon jug.

The cost of materials was dirt cheap, maybe spent $50 tops on acrylic and aluminum, the water cooling equipment however.. im up to close to about $700 invested in everything lol.

theres 2 res because at first i bought the little EK res and then when i decided to build an external WC setup i wanted something flashier so i got the frozenq res. i decided to incorporate the 2nd res into the design to give me a place to add a liquid temp sensor fitting and also a fill port up top. it wasnt necessary but i figured i might as well use the res if its sitting around.

this is a loop that will sit next to my pc and Koolance quick disconnects will link it to the EK block inside my lian0li pc60. the milk jug was an initial source for filling and also just to have something to let air escape while im leak testing.

hes prolly just test running the loop, as theres no blocks or nothing attached...

is the computer supposed to fit inside that case?
