Max Air Flow Wood case

Thread Starter
Started a design in Sketchup, tell me how I could improve the airflow. I plan on having a wood panel separating the PSU compartment from the rest of the case, for better airflow. Also, the mobo will be mounted 90 degrees offset, so the back of the mobo is facing upwards along with the pci card cables and usb ports
Oh, dimensions for the case are Length: 437.3 mm Width: 256.6 mm Height: 257.6 mm

the wood i will be using is about 4 mm thick
edit: I just realized I want to be able to route the cables behind my motherboard, so I think should move the PSU so it is against the same side the Mobo will be on. Also, if I want to use the standard brass standoffs but want more room behind my mobo, what is the best way to get more space behind my mobo?

The stuff I hope to put in this box:

fans: Ill buy probably 3. I'll need some recommendations here too.

edit: Here is a sample of the wood I will be using

Heres a pic with mobo orientation, it will be on the regular brass standoffs but I want a lot of space behind my mobo for power cables so i will probably screw the regular stand offs into a brass stand off hardware with more height

I love a good wooden PC case. I hope you change your mind and you get a chance to build this.
I have built similar cases and they have worked out great.

We don't need your pronography on here...

But seriously if your worried about the strength of the wood maybe get some 1/2 plywood or that wood fiber type boards.

I wouldn't worry about it bursting into flames or anything, as long as you design it properly I'm sure it will work. Just make sure that no heatsinks or anything else that will get 100c hot is touching the wood. Although I'm pretty sure that woods autoignition point is about 300C.
