Help... Overclocked 9950 BE problems! - Page 3

also... if your talking about AMD Overdrive (the program) my advice is completely get rid of it. ive tried it. all the overclocking settings can be made from bios... voltage cant be adjusted properly with AOD because i seen it jump from 1.4 to 1.7 on its own several times and it crashed my rig so bad i had to re-install windows. lolz

It seems everything is running 7-9mhz higher. H link is at 2007 and my cores are at 2.609 . This never used to be. Everything would be exact or 1 higher. My cores would be 2.600-2.603. Well i guess ill be able to figure out the true problem in about 15 mins when 3dmark finally finishes Dling.

I appreciate all feedback and help.

MY 3dmark score was 12008 today compared to 16278 1 year ago. In every category my system is much weaker than it used to be(including cpu tests).

So its hard for me to narrow it down to the cards or the cpu.

I'm positive my pcie slots are fuc*ed now so im purchasing a new MOB0 first, probably a single card solution next, and then a new cpu.

Any suggestions on a mobo for AMD/ATI setup using crossfire in the future?

No joke. Overclocking will be so much easier with that chip, read a bit more before you try doing it though (especially not being stoned ).

lol'd.

Yea also the x6 1090t BE will last you a loooong while if you're not Bench-horny and want top numbers in everything.

I had a Intel P4 (single core, with hyper-threading, so 2 virtual cores) until late 2010, that's when I got the rig in my signature.

If I ran a P4 to late 2010 then I bet this x6 will last me until at least 2015 ( I will upgrade until then tho lol, just a theory).

Grats on the upgrade, seen those cores clock pretty damn well! With the 1800 ram are you intending to keep it there or downclock to 1600 and tighten timings? AMD chips love tight timings for OC

As for graphics, if you can confirm a 6950 model that unlocks, thats a great option, though they are becoming rarer from my reading here on OCN
6870 and 460gtx are also ridiculous bang/$
