Help me pick!

Thread Starter
So I have come to the Conclusion that i spend too much time at school and that I need Laptop.
For the life of me I've spent too much time searching and i can't decide on any.

So what am i looking for?

Uses: Typing Homework up, Movie watching, some gaming for when I am free (probably burnout paradise), and I will also be doing Photoshop, Illustrator and maybe flash.

background Info: I know a lot about AMD Desktop Chips and nothing about laptop Chips. I know nothing about Intel

What makes me Picky:
1) It has to be easy on the eyes to start with. Preferably Black or white.
2) I don't want Intel graphics
3)Because of my bad experience with HP laptop i completely Avoid HP (but i'll consider)
4) I am not a fan of brands that put a HUGE logo on the back. I hate that
5) at least 3 hours of battery life.
6) has to be as light as possible nothing over 5-6 please
7) I want at least 4 gigs of ram and 64 bit (i got used to 64 bit)
8) has to feel solid, performance
[1,2,4.7and 8 are the most important]

Bonuses that can win me over:
1) blu ray drive.
2) USB 3.0
3) 2 hard drive bays

I will be using external drives for Storage. but the spacier the better. as long as it can hold a game or two. Microsoft office. 3 CS5 programs.

I don't want to go over 900. I'm using Tax return money. but not all of it. over 700$ threshold it'll be out of my current pocked which = hungry student.

and convince me why you picked what you pick!
all help will be appreciated (iRep)

Tricore phenom and hd 5650 make it decent at 799.

sorry for double post.

I like this one. I don't like the Dell logo, but ti's small enough i can cover with some sticker =] I'm impressed by the one gig of VRAM and the processor speed. and its a nice weight.

way out of my budget. Its super sexy tho. and the logo isn't huge on the back. but the biggest draw back is that it weighs 7 pounds. I don't want seven extra pounds in my backpack!

the only thing that makes me want to turn this down is the HUGE Toshiba on the back. its pretty nice in weight. Don't like the speaker form but i will not beusing them in reality. I will really only be convinced if it had USB3.

As to all the responses i will check them out in person if i can and then i'll get back!

310 is not a good gaming chip, 5650 is mid range, and 550v is a little less powerful than a 5650. I would work your selection around a 5650 chip, or possibly as low as Nvidia GT 330M.

You can see comparisons here -
