[cnet]iPad 2 speed test shows it's 4x faster than original iPad, thrashes Android - Page 2

What? No comparison against Tegra 2?

Title doesn't make sense, the iPad is a piece of hardware and Android is an OS.

Also, seems most of the improvement has to do with the new software rather than the change from ipad -> ipad 2.

Pretty much. I would buy it, use the hell out of it for a week and then just gaze at it across my room every now and again.

Sweet, my HD2 with Android hacked on to it is faster than an iPhone4...

I like how the PDA's and UMPC's made a sneaky comeback...

Won't be long until android has a tablet that's faster, no worries

It's an easy thing to test if you want to do it yourself. Just go to the SunSpider JavaScript Benchmark page, click 'Start SunSpider 0.9.1 now!' and watch it do its thing. You'll end up with a number in milliseconds -- the higher it is, the slower the device is at running JavaScript, so lower is better.
Okay, so I did the test on my Nexus One running Cyanogen 7 (2.3.2) with no overclock and stock kernel.

I got 4250. So how did I beat the Nexus S? Did I do it wrong or something?
