Pretty good results for a so-called "beta" or "half-baked" Honeycomb OS. I want a WiFi version of it.

I wish they threw in a WP7 phone in there for good measure, since they have the iPhone 4 listed. Would be nice to see the JavaScript performance between iPhone 4 and WP7.

Gotta love it when news groups post titles like this just to grab page hits.

It isn't 4x faster then the original Ipad, it is 4x faster then the Ipad with original software; it is only perhaps 50% faster then the original ipad on the same firmware.

Here is the Anandtech charts, showing what Tegra 2 can do on Android.

No, you did it right. The Qualcomm Scorpion in your N1 is still the fastest ARM CPU, clock for clock, core for core.

I'm not entirely sure I believe the Galaxy Tab score though. The Nexus S and Tab share identical hardware. They should have the same score.

Because android is a tablet? Android is an OS, it has nothing to do with the power of the tablet under it.

True that but if those figures are correct about the android tablets then the ipad2 with firmwire 4.3 is double the speed of the best android tablet, even the ipad 1 with new firmwire is a tad faster.

This just means the new Javascript apple is using is insanely optimized to get that kind of a perfomrance boost (more than double for ipad 1)
