So I gave my brother a GTX460 and Samsung 24" LCD as a present. I installed them in his alienware. Its been going fine until just now. The screen in Warhammer II will randomly go black and then come back on.

The PSU isnt the best but its multiple 12v rails of 18a each. More than enough for a GTX460. Its an EVGA GTX460 SSC+ card.

Any ideas? Its an old computer. AMD Athlon 64 x2 4600+ I think. Vista 32bit.

What are some reasons a game would go black for a few seconds randomly through out a level?

I think I may have figured it out. There is a pop up stating the display driver has stopped responding. Im going to reinstall the newest from nvidia and give that a shot.

EDIT: Uninstalled drivers, used driver sweeper, restart and PC blue screens saying windows error
