Corsair CMT6GXM3A1600C7 ver 2.1 overclocking

Thread Starter
I bought a triple channel Corsair Dominator GT RAM, and it said in the packaging CMT6GXM3A1600C7 ver2.1.
Based on Corsair DDR3 IC list it should be Elpida.
I’ve tried searching overclocking setting with this exact of RAM and haven’t found anything yet.

Is there anyone experiencing overclock this exactly set of RAM, and how high can it go?
Do you guys think, this RAM can be push to ran at 1600@1,65v at CL 6-8-6 ? or maybe at 2000@CL 9 ?

I’d like to know if anyone pushing it with voltage under 1,65v, as I read that is the max safest limit for internal memory processor on i7 to run daily.

I’ll be using it on
ASUS P6T deluxe v1.1
I7920@4 Ghz@200x20
EVGA 465 SC
Amacrox 650w Free style

Any info would be appreciated, so I know where to start overlclocking this set of rams

V2.1 means hypers, you've struck gold!!
:

and the max save voltage depends on what your qpi/vtt voltage is at
you want to keep you vdimm no more than .5V higher than VTT.
if your at 1.3v VTT than your safe upto 1.8V

V2.1 confirms elpida, I thought the 1600 cl7 kit was BBSE, pretty sure I read somewhere at the corsair forums that kit wasn't hypers.
If it doesn't do 6-6-6 it will at least do 6-7-6 at 1600Mhz.

I'm sure that it is Elpida, but I'm not sure it is hyper. I would like to start to overclock it but I want to know where to start to.
Still running default now.

Yes, maybe it is BBSE, anyway I'd like to know if someone with the same batch, so I know how well or how bad these batch perform in overclocking.
I bought the GT since I'm hoping it would be the better bin of Elpida chip than other brand.

Btw At what volt I should try with 6-6-6 or 6-7-6 ?

Try 6,6,6,18 1T @ 1.6v to start.

If it fails , work the voltage up to 1.65v until stable.

I'm pretty sure you have hypers on your hands by the Ver2.1 number.
