I remember in the days I played EverQuest getting off work at 7AM Wednesday morning and playing till I fell asleep ( usually late Thursday early Friday morning). RL friends could tell I had fallen asleep when they would see my cleric running in circles and call me to wake me up. Had 1 session that was so long I somehow got my cleric killed, I'm guessing I fell asleep running through a zone and ran off a cliff. Logged in the next day to a dead cleric with no idea where he died. Ran all over the zone and could not find his corpse. Had to end up contacting a GM to help me. So lvl 28 in 4 days doesnt seem so bad.

Year's that I'll never forget though. WoW taught me a lot of life skills in communication, leadership and responsibility. Also some quick thinking, general math skills in working the AH and recipes and stuff.

Ahh WoW

I fell asleep on the 5th floor of Tower of Frozen Shadows with a full group going... Woke up like 4 hrs later dead and my corpse locked away in the tower, I had to pay a necromancer to come there with me to summon it. The group waited a bit but then they just left me there lol.
Another time I had auto run on in west karanas (the long zone east of Quenos) I dozed off ran into the little stream on the south end of the zone and drowned.
I played EQ for 10 years, most of it as a hard core top tier raider spending 20+ hours a week just raiding with probably another 20 spent just doing group and solo stuff... it was like a full time job after while.
Now that's borderline addiction...

It taught me how to spend an entire day without going to the bathroom.

Well... It didn't... But that would be awesome

Lol, I had a friend of mine that was playing a rogue that was at my place raiding with me. We were in Black Temple at the time clearing trash mobs, and our guild took a quick second break. Rogues usually just ran up behind certain mobs stealthed, because the raid required them to disable to help make clearing hard trash easier. I'm not sure what my friend did to piss me off, but I said I had to go repair really quick so I left BT then he left to go to the bathroom. So then I unstealthed his rogue behind the mobs to cause aggro on everyone and kill everyone while I was repairing. It was a pretty jack-ass move looking back on it. But it was great when he came back in the room and our entire raid group flamed him for wiping the entire raid except for me.

I'm in the same boat. Actually went a bit wrong for me.

I was about 16, and I was at the PC playing WoW ALL the time.. I did see friends , but was only in the weekends, and we were playing WoW then >-<

One day it was enough, I just ran away.. almost made it to another country..

Anyways, I buried the game for a year.. game back.. **** its **** and left again

Now I play Rift, and its addicting too but I'm almsot 18 now and now I know how to prio things.

OP:

Be careful. I dont' know the game, but you can destory some years of your life. It's almost like drugs, althought the public really don't take gamign srsly.
