Asus 6850 Direct CU gpu temp#3 abnormally high

Hello, I'd love to know what represents gpu temp#3 in gpu-z (AIDA64 calls it GPU diode (shader)), since it so high even at stock clocks (94+ degrees Celsius). I already bought some vga ram heatsinks but heatpipes of direct CU block 2 ram modules and modifying ram heatsinks is not a solution (only 1-3 mm distance from ram module to heatpipe). Before changing whole cooler to Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Pro, I would be very happy to know if its going to help. Around here some people were getting very high gpu temp#2 with ram heatsinks which would suggest it not being ram temperature... yet in other thread people were claiming temp#2 being memory temperature and temp #3 being shader core. AIDA64 for me displays gpu temp #1 as dispIO temperature, gpu temp #2 as MemIO and temp #3 as shader.

Edit: I have few 234.4m³/h fans. They are way too loud for normal use but for testing they are fine. I tried to point some of air stream toward ram modules but no real change to temperature. Does that suggest anything? I'm really worried since even at stock playing Dawn of War Retribution makes gpu temp#3 94+ degrees. Ambient temperature is ~20 degrees and opening window and dropping ambient to 10 degrees in case (it's standing near window) does very little difference to gpu temp#3.

Edit2: From what I gathered from some more searching gpu temp#3 is really shader temperature and that is in the core which suggests that is because contact between heatsink and gpu is not exactly right. Is that correct? Then it is asus fault for not doing that right from the start and simple TIM replace should fix that? And to do that I'm going to use ZALMAN STG2 tim, which from what I cab find is great and because (where I live) it's 6$ while noctua nt-h1 and Scythe Thermal Elixer are around 12$, hilarious.

m? I use it to overclock/return to 2d clocks (I use different profiles for 3d and desktop) but it doesnt give enough information. I mainly use gpu-z or AIDA64 to monitor temperatures/current.
