Thread Starter
I have Biostar A780L3L 760G Socket AM3 in my other pc and i wanna set my cpu voltage manually because auto sets my cpu at 1.46. max voltage for this cpu is at 1.4. i have a problem when i set the voltage manually i have to set core vid and nb vid, I dont know what voltage nb vid should be set at :S could anyone with this mobo let me know how much voltage they have nb vid at? or what it's ment to be at? doesn't say in the manual.

Cheers

The CPU voltage might really be 1.46V as per binning of that CPU.
NB vid should be around 1.2V.
What CPU?

The cpu is the same as what I have which is AMD Athlon x3 450, also i'd like to say i was messing around with it earlier a bit, and i noticed by changing the core vid didn't change my cpu voltage at all, but when i change the nb vid, it was changing my core voltage :S is this right? or corrupt? sounds messed up to me....

I've updated the bios and still the same problem. could things have been corrupt and both have been swaped? is their anyway i can check my NB voltage? i can then test if changing core vid changes the nb voltage.

It's possible, but I have doubts to this being chip-level. It is probably an error in the code of the BIOS itself, not something particular with your mobo. Maybe try different revisions or reflash anyway?
AMD overdrive should be able to check your NB voltage

Installed it and many other programs, changed core vid voltage and nothing seems to be changing, core voltage only changes when i change nb voltage. Anyway I'll just leave it on auto 1.45v, i've read some posts on this forums with ppl setting this cpu on 1.5v, so i think i should be fine for a couple of years ( hopefully )

Anyway i'd like to thank you xd 1771 for your help and advice
