What PCI-E version do I have?

Hey guyzz... How can i know what PCI-E version do I have? .. And if i have like for example version 1.0 or 1.1 and I want to buy a geforce 9500GT with PCI-E version 2.0 ,does it couse any damage or doesn't fit in the slot?

1) it will work, only difference is bandwidth
2) a 9500gt won't show any difference either way

I think it has PCI-E 1.0 because my old EVGA 680i SLI (top of the line nForce 680i) has PCI-E 1.0.

Regardless though, PCI-E 2.x cards are fully compatible with PCI-E 1.x slots. Plus, there's no discernible difference between the two.

It won't make any difference. A PCIe slot is a PCIe slot. As long as it fits without force, it'll work fine wink.gif.

It is definitely PCI-E 1.0. I just learned through my research that nForce4 has 1.0. In addition, nForce4 was released in 2004 while PCI-E 2.0 was released in 2007.
