Im behind on the times, just bought the ultimate edition of dragon age 1....

It was $20 So i thought id pick it up.

Been playing for an hour. Even with beta drivers that supposedly enable SLI for Dragon Age 2, this game is horribly optimized. "Very High" on DirectX 11 is bringing my computer to its knees.. more like floor.. average 2 FPS. (2560x1600 resolution, but still)

Nonetheless, getting very good FPS with DX11 on "Medium" w/everything else maxed and high resolution textures, and the game still looks good.

I'm enjoying it, but then I'm playing it with a Xbox 360 PC controller because I figured the revamped action oriented gameplay better suits a controller.

I'm thinking its just poorly optimized for SLI.

or the beta Nvidia SLI drivers didn't do the trick

As my sig states, I have 5770CF and I'm getting 60fps with everything maxed except for 4xAA, @1608x1050. And it seems there are just some strange parts of the game that use ambient occlusion and it drops the fps like mad, though only for a tiny bit.
Getting the hi-res texture pack as we speak.

There is definitely something wrong with SLI despite what the beta drivers say for compatibility, or at least for me.

I can actually play at 20-30 FPS on "High Quality" with single GTX 580, but with SLI movement becomes jerky and choppy. I've tried with and without GPU overclocks, no difference. The SLI jerkiness exists until you go down to "Medium" visual quality. I can actually play with no SLI on "High" very comfortably but not under SLI. =(

For now I'll play SLI on medium quality DX11.. at least the FPS is ridiculous:

I find that when I get really close to particle effects like smoke and fire that my framerate just dogs. I'll get 60-80 most of the time at similar settings to you with the texture pack and then it will just drop to like 20 if the camera is too close to any kind of visual effect.
