if you came from the 267.24, its the same driver. Its just an edited driver by Zotac... it has the same release notes as the 267.24
that explains a lot. i guess i should've said what the "old driver" was for me specifically. i did mention it was January's release, but it was 266.66.

there's no point in me playing with it at Very High though because i have to turn AA/AF off just to get rid of stuttering so i just stick with High, 8AF and everything else off lol. runs really smooth like that. i turned my fans all the way up on my case to dissipate heat which took care of that problem thankfully

Call me crazy, shouldn't more intensive graphics utilize more GPU, not the other way?

That screenshot is also using the Nvidia Inspector DA2 profile tweak posted earlier in this thread. Unfortunately it didn't do anything for me.

SLI is a double-edged blade; some games will give you better results, some will give you same results, some will give you worse.
are you sure about this regarding GPU usage? why is it maxed out at 97%? what were you doing when it hit that? i only hit 96 when i jumped in game...

edit: sorry for the double post. didn't see this before

Here's my opinion after over 24 hours played (doing every single quest)

Dragon Age 2 (PS3).
Pros:
-Main story + companion quests are great, engages the player. (Little far between main story quests at first)
-Exploring areas is fun (at first)
-Looks good for a console game

Cons:
-The main storyline and companion quests are great, however the sidequests and random fillers are not. I kid you not that you start the game with a goal to earn 50 gold to progress the story. That's a good 5+ hours of sidequesting.
-Tunnels, the entire game is tunnel-map after tunnel-map. It kills any sense of "world" or open-ness.
-LOAD TIMES (better on PC?) I spend 1 minute in an area talking to NPCs then have to run to a zone, bring up the map, and load forever.
-Gimped equipment for your groupmates - you can't change their armor (What I haven't figured out is why warrior armor still drops when I play a rogue. Set items are all Rogue though)
-Reused dungeons, there is one (tiny) dungeon for each type and they keep reusing it by blocking off sections with terrible stone doors. Seriously lazy and removes any depth to the dungeons. Only the deep roads seems to be of any size.

Overall, buy it when it hits 40$ if you played the first DA and liked it a lot. If you didn't buy DA1 - buy that - it has all the pros and none of the cons of DA2.
AMD, I give up.

Quick and dirty on my DA:2 Pc thoughts:

new 11.4 hotfix drivers fixed all perf issues for me. 60fps, 1920x1080, Very high, Hi res textures, 2xAA.

As far as the game itself goes:

Started playing this weekend. Bought it on intkeys.com for 25 bucks. Also managed to get the “premium content” aka rape-traps as well.

It’s actually pretty good; I do have some nit-picks. As someone who always plays the mage, the removal of the full iso tactical camera is a HUGE fail for me. You CANNOT pull this new fixed camera back anywhere near what you could in DA:O. It forces me to switch from character to character to get the camera angle I need to develop a win on the battlefield. It doesn’t make any sense that they removed this, and most of the time I still can’t get the camera angle/perspective that I want.

You can’t choose your companion’s armor sets. What? Why!? This means 75+ % of the cool armor I find I can’t even do anything with except sell it. Might as well just drop coins.

On the plus side, the story is great. Flemeth is back and a really good character. The dialog is solid. Graphics are a mixed bag. I’m running highest settings, hi-res texture pack, and dx11 and it doesn’t really blow DA:O out of the water or anything even close.

Bottom line is that I am still playing it and interested in continuing the story. I recommend playing it on hard (no cheating and lowering the difficulty for a hard fight) because the battles are a lot more rewarding.

Any spikes above 80% are from the game menu when changing video settings or starting the game.

maybe it doesn't need it all lol iunno. i will check my afterburner screenshot again to double check i wasn't just getting spikes. if that's the case, i'll try the SLI tweak and re-test. thanks.

edit: i just realized you're running 3 cards so i guess there's no hope for now
c'mon nVidia/BioWare!

Hey guys

i have the beta driver for my gtx 570(stock speed) and it runs pretty smooth with everything maxed except 4x AA and using High res texture.

How do i check my FPS?

IF i turn to 8x AA it doesn't lag but i get artifacts on the left side it's so weird lol.

Also the Armor, and facial details are not that great(feel like DA1), especially armor it doesn't look very detailed and sharp during cut scenes.

Anyway to fix this or just game's fault?
