First PC you owned and gamed on? - Page 17

First PC was when I was like 11. I saved every dollar I got from allowance and bdays. Think I had like $1000 saved up for a PC. So.. being 11 years old, I spent it on some PC from a custom shop from some ghetto neighborhood. It was a plain white case and CTR. Had an AMD Duron 800mhz, 256mb ram, IGP, and a 52x cd drive. Like a year later I went to best buy and realized I could have bought a better comp for cheaper lol.

Lesson learned lol. Not that buying from best buy is a good idea, but at the time I was young and newegg was still in its infancy I believe.

HP Pavilion that I bought new in 2000. I think that computer initially came with a 6GB hard drive, 64MB of RAM, and Windows 98. Dumped in a Riva TNT2 Turbo 4MB "add-on" card so I would be able to play Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2--which I was obsessed with for months and months thereafter.

Pentium 4 at 2.8GHZ, 80GB hard drive(The one in my rig), onboard Intel graphics(upgraded to HD 2400 Pro, which is in my rig), 1GB RAM, 300w power supply. What an amazing machine, it plays Garry's Mod incredibly, as in 100+ FPS.

My parents bought me a gaming PC for my birthday years ago, was my first gaming PC. Had a pentium 3 @ 1.1Ghz, 384MB of ram, 32GB HDD, and a Nvidia GPU integrated into the motherboard. All of this on Windows 98' with a $400 VGA 1280x1024 gaming monitor - - @ 75hz. I used this computer for years. I was able to play The Sims 2 on it fairly smoothly but then I got a laptop which was faster than it and ran on Windows XP.

I threw the computer in the garbage last year for spring cleaning.
