Given that Razer has released a firmware update for the Black Widow to prevent this happening, it would seem otherwise.

to prevent people like OP who can't get their motherboard to work properly from complaining and trying to RMA a perfectly functional keyboard. it has to do with the boot loader the put on the keyboard for firmware updates. the razer mamba has something similar, but you have to put the mouse in boot loader mode first. this keyboard clearly is designed differently that makes the motherboard think it can boot from it, but nothing is wrong with the keyboard.

so their firmware update is prevent complaints and RMA's from user error.

I have the same issue with the BlackWidow(regular; not ultimate), also Dr Debug is displaying code x0d...strange code...

I have already done:

1.Update firmware
2. Set boot priority
3. Update MBO UEFI bios
4. Contact Razer Support and ask for a solution

Only the 4th thing worked...apparently there are some BW keyboards that are faulty in this way and they mess only with uefi bios. If a MBO has an older bios the keyboard works normaly.
So razer RMA my keyboard and im getting a new one on monday...

I LOVE RAZOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT!

Will let u know if the new keyboard works properly...
