also with the orochi be aware that the cable is rather short when i was using it as the primary mouse for my desktop (used for laptop now) i had to plug it into my old keyboard.

little comparison pick
So many Philips Twin Eye mice.

Lift one of them up, plz.

Observe cursor reaction.

Then again, you've already ordered junk with Philips Twin Eye on it.

Good luck with that.
That is a non-issue for me really.. I almost never lift the mouse while gaming. Only time I need to reposition a mouse that I recall is on ME2 planet scanning, guess I was doing it wrong lol.

I have read about the problems due to drift while lifting so observed myself while playing a few games (not easy) and I dont need to reposition during any action.

I've never had the problem there's no need to pick up the mouse at 5600 dpi, its the one thing i could never understand why is everyone running there mouse at half the dpi, is it so they flail there arms around? i just don't get it myself.

"Any mouse will cause the cursor to move when you lift it off the mouse pad. The Mamba does it in a more predictable fashion, always down and to the right. With higher DPI setting you will notice the affect more, but of course the higher the setting the less likely you are to lift the mouse. You should be able to lessen the affect you are seeing by using a lower DPI setting."
On my mainstay mouse(which is not a philips twin eye mouse), I've used 800dpi with an ingame sensitivity of 20(CS:Source, windows sensitivity 5).

I actually rotate the mouse with my thumb and pinky when I need to move the cursor to the left or right opposed to nudging it from my wrist which is common to most people. Yes, high sensitivity player, and yet, I prefer to adjust ingame sensitivity than DPI.

And before you tell me things about pixel skipping, I assure you, I've tried lowering ingame/windows sensitivity and using a higher DPI on my mouse, same effect and result, more trouble.

to each are own then i usually just leave in game sensitivity down put max dpi and turn off for example on the g9x i leave windows setting at 5 and kill any acceleration what so ever, works perfectly for me no skipping and its reasonable snappy but not over snappy, since i actually hold the mouse similar to you with thumb and ring finger.

A quick update. I have returned the razer, was not happy with the ergonomics of it so I have taken a chance and ordered a roccat kova+. It looks like it has the narrow grip I am looking for.

The ones I have narrowed it down to are the Razer Orochi, Roccat Pyra and possibly the CM Spawn. I will be using the mice in wired mode and on a hard mousemat. The Orochi is probably my favourite at the moment with the placement of the thumb buttons, the Pyra thumb button looks too high for easy use and the Storm just looks uncomfortable. Unfortunately I there is nowhere I could go to try holding the mice.

I am looking for advice/recommendations from users that have tried any of these mice or any others I should be looking at, thanks
I have been looking at the spawn but is it even out yet? Cooler master doesn't have any retailers listed for it and the only websites I can find it for sale on are no-name websites with bad reputations. I personally game with a Microsoft Mobile Mouse 3000 and I actuallly really like it. I just wish it had some extra buttons. That's why I like the look of the spawn because the shape and size are very smililar to my mouse. I do like the look of the kova though... Let us know how you like it.

I've used a "junk" G5 for years before it died, recently moved to an optical Deathadder with a "nonjunk" sensor. Made absolutely no difference in gaming whatsoever.
Sometimes I just have to wonder about the sentiment people have here with their mice. I've seen people use crappy oem mice and still do well gaming.
