[Yahoo!]Forecast For Best Buy: Worst Is Yet to Come - Page 4

This is what happens when your business model is screwing your customer they don't tend to come back.

They have hardly any competition brick and mortar wise and are still doing terrible?

I guess there customers found geeky friends or gave up on electronics and stuck with walmart lol......

That's a serious exaggeration, and the truth of the matter is the Best Buy services aren't for the tech geek that understands cable matching. It's for people that are either too overwhelmed by technology and just want it to work, or the rich businessman who just needs it done.

It's pretty sad when one can buy online with shipping and spend less.. Here they can't compete with Microcenter when it comes to everything computer. Their audio is at least 150% over cost.

true , when i went to telecommunication classes, they said that the trick is to take out all the cables and let them and let the feel overwhelm by all the cables that a home theater system will use, but all it is,is matching colors. Its true that those services are for the rich and the easily overwhelmed.

Google is one large Geek Squad
Best Buy doesn't even in-store price match to their online store (at least, they didn't within the last year or two)--let alone other etailers. It's their own fault if their business tactics aren't keeping them competitive. And Geek Squad can only take them so far... With tech being more and more common-place, having a physical sub-business of troubleshooting hardware will become more and more obsolete as more and more people become tech savvy. If Best Buy was counting on Geek Squad to keep them afloat indefinitely, they're pretty dumb.

Problem is Fry's aren't super-abundant (not like Best Buy). Some people only have brick-and-moartar access to Best Buy close to them.

And to be honest, there are times when I need something quick, and can't wait to receive something from Newegg, and getting it at BB is cheaper than overnight shipping delivery from an etailer--and at least if something gets botched with the thing I get, there's at least a physical store to return it to immediately for exchange or refund.

I need to see if there is a Fry's anywhere around here. There haven't been any where I have lived in the past.
