I went into one last week and they were selling these for $70 or $80: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820171396
A Western Digital 500Gb blue drive was around $100... $63 at newegg.
No GPU over HD4000 series in stock and those were all $100 or greater while Newegg is $40 or greater.
I actually went in there to check out receivers and speakers. They were actually similarly priced HOWEVER - the next day I see a shell shocker price for a Polk Audio speakers at half off. Best sale I saw at Best Buy was a $2500 combo set to get for $1600, pfft as if I have that much money.
Awhile back I was shopping for 1080p tv's. Target and Walmart had them for around $100 cheaper in most cases. The only difference between them was contrast ratio which apparently has become a marketing gimmick once you get to a certain amount.
And the higher-ups at Best Buy can't figure out why they're not doing well?
Edit: Oh and a customer asked a salesperson what's the difference between IDE and SATA hard drives. The sales man said "there's no difference."
