I'm making a budget build for my dad, he's running on a P4 with 1gb ram, so this will be an awesome upgrade for him

I was looking at that, problem is the mobo doesn't support anything past 1333.

As for that case, it looks tacky as hell!

Plus, i'd rather just not go with a crappy PSU

Purchase memory on Newegg; the before rebate price of that RAM is really bad, more often than not buying memory from Fry's or Microcenter is a bad choice.

Mobo doesn't tell you jack bout RAM support anymore, IMC does. All AMD platforms support up to 1600Mhz memory via x8 multiplier. It is often undocumented.

Try and go for a 9600GT ECO if you're going to lowball on that area. It only draws 49w under load and they're still capable of playing a few games.

Thanks I switched it to that Patriot from Newegg.

EDIT: Also added the same PSU from Newegg, came out to $17 AR
