XFX 5770 RAM chips cooling

Thread Starter
Hey everyone,

I run an XFX 5770 V2 Egg Cooler @970/1300/1.1V.

With two 80-mm side fans feeding fresh air to the card at load, my max temps are 54C for the core and 60C for the memory (Furmark).

I am looking into cooling my ram chips and I know that Newegg has some offerings but they are expensive when compared to offerings on ebay and the cooling results they will provide ($15 vs $3)

I am considering the following options:

Does anyone have any experience with these and what are your recommendations?

Thank you,
ULTRA

I have looked at various packages and as I said, they are mostly in the $15 dollar range.

I doubt they provide much better cooling for the price when compared with the $3 ones.

Well out of the 2 you are looking at I would go with the aluminum ones,They look to be the proper dominions and they are a little lighter than the copper ones.

Thank you for the advice.

I am going to do some measurements on my 5770 once I get home, but I was thinking, if I am not restricted by dimensions, to go with the copper ones since they conduct heat better than aluminium.

Tons of items there. I prefer Accelero parts for VGA cooling.

Their prices are very cheap so I am guessing they kill you on the shipping.

Like the Spare fan - Accelero XTREME Plus is $4.99!!! I am not even sure if they are legit now

Can you shed some light on that please? Ever bought from them and how was it?

I know Im kinda late..
Buttt...
I bought these.
So far, theyre doing pretty good, Ive seen like 3C temp drops, and theyre hot to the touch.
Comes with thermal adhesive, not the greatest..but meh, its 3 bucks.

But I wanted to buy these. Theyre cross-hatched, plus theyre cheaper.

I went with the ones I bought because I wanted to stick to ebay.

So far they have been doing an awesome job. Since I have customized with fans setup, the memory never goes above 46c. Highest core temp in games is 47c.

What about you?

what temps are you getting in furmark/kombustor?

Where do you find the temp of the memory? what program are you using?

With my Scythe Setsugen 2 i never get over 63C at full load OC'd to 975x1350@1.237v. I would like to know what my memory temp is. i have Heatsinks on the mem chips and the VRMs
