Look at the way the two companies are handeling this and you will see a drastic difference.
Nintendo is going after piracy and keeping it simple by bricking the devices of those pirating.
Sony is going after everyone who has done the following :
1. Visited Hotz's site
2. Watched the video on how to hack the OS
3. Trying to get records from Google on anyone that watched the video on Youtube.com
4. Etc, Etc.
Sony has clearly flown off the handle and is angry they got caught pissing off their customers by removing functionality of their product. Sony threw the first punch in this situation and deserves the retaliation they rceived. Hotz has made it abundantly clear that the hack was never about piracy. It was about homebrew and OtherOS. Sony got pantsed in front of their classroom. Do what every other kid in school did in that scenario, pull up your pants and move on.
