Yeah some of the character models are sharper too. Pity the shaders are the same, but hey, better than nothing.

Ooooo nice catch on those squares. First I was like,"What's he talking about that looks pretty nice actually." Then I was like,"Oh snap." The floor looks nice, but then two feet infront of the character they're gone. LOL
Probably the biggest reason I like DX11 is the bumped texture look that tessellation gives. Shame they didn't actually use it really. I wonder if there is a config that can change that "draw distance" of the effect.

I havent gotten a lot of play time in since i posted the pictures... none actually. Work sucks.

but i noticed alot of wall textures like vines and stuff that seem to stick out... someone else posted a link to a website that showed alot of comparisons... I really think it looked good.

I think it's funny that people are *****ing about the graphics when this is without a question the best looking third person RPG ever made. Mass Effect 2 was pretty beautiful too though...

very nice comparison, really shows off where they applied the displacement maps. Only thing I don't like about using displacements maps, is that you get pixels pulling at the edges, and that stupid dotted white line >< I wonder if it's possible to switch out low and high res geo in game, and what effects it might have? It would definitely make things look even better lol

Mass Effect games have terrible textures, depth of field tries to mask that but if you look closely you'll notice faces and prominent objects look great whereas the rest is bland at best.

As for Dragon Age 2... meh. Haven't really compared side-by-side, but I remember Mafia 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 as looking much better. Even Origins seemed slightly better than the demo, but that might've been because it consisted mostly of bland desert landscapes.

Looking forward to The Witcher 2's graphics, though.

Mafia 2 and Assassin's Creed are not RPGs I'm also mainly talking about 3rd person group based RPGs. They almost always have shiet graphics but that really make little difference to me. Graphics are not the reason I play RPGs but they are nice in this case
