1st WC Loop, temps fine? - Page 2

But you've got 2x360 RADs vs. my 360 + 120.. And you're running your fans at over twice the RPMs. Probably higher flowrate as well, I'd imagine as I only run my 655 at setting 2.. Also, are your radiators blowing air into your case or are they blowing air out? The fans on my radiators are doing double duty pushing hot case air out of the case as well as pushing it through the radiators.. So the rads are mounted around the CPU area and the CPU is air cooled and dumps 125W of heat into the case which then get pushed out of the case through the rads. So the intake for my rads is quite a bit higher than ambient, I'm sure. I've got a very similar set up to what the OP is running.

Both 470s are running stock clocks. The ambient is down to about 23*C now and they're running at about 39*C and 43*C. Should I try reseating the blocks?

And draining the loop, recutting all the thermal pads, reapplying the TIM, and redoing your leak testing? IMO, it's not worth it.. Your temps are low enough that you can get a great overclock on the card, get silent running and still be well below manuf. recommended temps..

If you were considering flashing the BIOS on the boards so you can overvolt higher and/or volt mods.. Then *maybe* I'd consider redoing the blocks on those temps, but otherwise definitely not..

Again, it's up to you.. I doubt you'd see a difference of more than a few C for redoing all that extra work but a lot of people will do it just for those few C..

Don't spend all your time playing around trying to get your temps so low... Or before you even get around to really using the cards, faster cards will be out and you'll be redoing it all yet again...

I'd just enjoy what you've got and then when it come time to clean the loop in a year or two, make your adjustments then, and that's only supposing you even decide to keep your cards that long..

Thinking about it, you're right. I really wasn't looking forward to having to rip it all apart. I'll just reseat them whenever I get another 470. Thanks to everyone to helped, +rep
