Black FT-03 Fully Watercooled

So here lies our attempt at jamming a full water cooling system into what is in my opinion one of the nicest HTPC cases of sorts out there at the moment.

The goal was to fit a dual radiator in the case and effectively cool a GTX260 and AMD Phenom II X4.

Sorry about the pictures, most aren't great and Windows decided just to delete some on me...

Case right out of the box. While at first it seemed pretty small, it turned out to be just enough space on the inside to do what we wanted to do.

Case with most panels off, and the holes for the fans where the radiator will go cut out.

Closer shot of the cut out holes.

Here is the shroud of sorts I designed and constructed to encase the radiator and the fans. This helps keep the design streamlined, and it really makes the radiator fit.

I used the laser to etch my cutting lines for the window, which I found was an awesome tool for doing cutouts.

Terrible picture of the window installed. Essentially the window drops into the cut out hole. No window trim needed here!

Here is where I started to place the components in to get a feel for spacing.

Where the case is at right now, I have some additional work to do on the lighting, and obviously I need some new, better pictures to post up.

Love the window, but the radiator fans kill the simplistic look of the case. But great job, I love this case and I am hopefully going to be building a new pc in one.

Thanks! It is pretty hard to keep it "simplistic" though when trying to fit that much in a case like this. I'll post a lot of better pictures soon.

i just need someone to do the cutting for me lol i was planing on mounting a 240 exactly where you are mounting it, then i was going to put a 120rad where the exhaust fan is...

Hey you can disregard my pm i sent you, i figured away to put two rads inside the case. il help you out, maybe it can make you build cleaner and more efficient. you see where the top exhaust fan is, well you can mount a 120 style rad there, and i would place the pump beside your rez, and you can mount a HW Labs Black Ice GTX M184 at the bottom of the case refer to this thread http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...lp-please.html

If you decide to use my setup, dont forget to give me some credit please lol
Good Luck on your build!

Lots of money spent there, looks beautiful!

Black Ice rads are really thick and the FPI is very small, so except the need for high CFM and pressure fans, meaning more noise.

BUT Yateloons do this nicely, especially their highspeed ones, which are just as silent as the low ones I have running next to my right ear.

Great build!

Any chance you can measure the space between the wall (where the rad is installed) and plexi on the video card waterblock? I want to see if I can mount the rad on the inside and the fans on the outside.

nice! i have a micro atx setup with 2 460gtxs 768mb in sli and was going to fit into the case.

I dont have the money to build a HTPC so i was going to watercool my cards, cut the exhaust vent on the pci bracket on both cards so i can fit a sound card and a DVB T2 card which need the pci slots the exhaust vents take up.
Do you think it is possible to watercool 2 460gtxs with a single rad? not to bothered about temps as long as they dont go over 60C, its just i dont want to buy 2 single slot 460s when i already have 2 perfect cards which are dualslot.
