Do you use a mousefix? I recommend using Cheese's MouseFix. With it I have not experienced any acceleration even in windows as it edits the registry depending on your resolution and refresh rate.
I can use other mice on the same system and have zero acceleration. The positive accel on my Xai and G500 still exists even with raw input, it's a small amount but its there and since you cannot disable it I consider it a flaw.

I need a medium sized palm grippable mouse. Like the Imperator. Is there any downside to it? I'm right handed anyway so that's fine.

What else would be similar/superior.

The G500 is too bulky, and plus its Logitech, so its a no go. Ideally I want something that's the best in all categories, price is irrelevant, but at the same time I need to find one that's the BEST for me. Call me picky but nothing suggested so far meets my requirements..

I would get the roccat kone+ if it was available in North America, but sadly its not.

I hate to say it but I can't find anything other than Razer that has so far come close to what I need, even though I want to try something new haha.

I have Deathadder, Xai and smallfingers/hand.

- Both of them have same lenght when you put your hand on them.
- Deathadder has better left side buttons.
- Xai has 2 more buttons than Deathadder.
- Xai buttons are very loud (will be annoying if you don't use headset) (not sure about Deathadder, don't remember), I fixed this by tweaking the mouse1 and 2 switches, making them give a lot less recoil also.
- Deathadders buttons aren't touching the switches (makes the pushing the button feel weird) , fixed this by forcing it on top of them. Tape on the front!
- Xai material feels a lot better and durable than Deathadders.

Lifting with palm grip:

Deathadder is heavy and runs warm. This makes my hand sweat a lot and with slippery side material combined with bad angle on it, makes my hand slip very easily when lifting it. Fixed this at least for the moment with 2sided tape, no more slipping!

Xai is excellent for lifting, it's ~25% more lighter than Deathadder, the sides aren't made from slippery material and they are angled other way around than on Deathadder. Also it's not as warm as Deathadder.

Oh yeah, and my Deathadder has this curved bottom, which makes it belly drag the mousepad, fixed this by adding one layer of ducktape between mousefeet and mouse.

Logitech is not generic. In fact they have much more history an experience with making mice than many of those brands you named, although I don't really see what you mean by generic.

No reason to change from the g9x to any of those if you ask me.

The kone plus is heavier than a G500 lol. So if bulky is not your thing the kone is not for you. Saying that pair the kone with a very click mouse pad and the weight will not be an issue.
