[Vortez] OCZ show off SSDs RevoDrive X2 Vortex 3 and Z-Drive 1.8GB/s

OCZ recently discontinued producing memory kits which came as a great shock to many as they were a popular brand to invest in. Their Gold and Platinum series were particular favourites within the community due to great performance/price ratio. Our trip to CeBIT this year revealed in one way or other why OCZ has broken away from the memory market and why OCZ are keen to concentrate on their storage and PSU solutions. OCZ are market leaders for SSD solutions, their new RevoDrive X2, Vortex 3 and Z-Drives offer blistering performance that no other brand can claim to have ready at consumers finger-tips and so it is that our trip revealed some fantastic new products on the horizon for OCZ, some of which are/will soon be in our test labs here at Vortez.

My rule is: I dont purchase anything OCZ. Their quality is terrible. Ive seen so many people with memory kits that go bad, and I had a psu go bad two months before the warranty was up. Thank goodness their RMA process was relatively painless.

Last the R3 is the only PCIe SSD that supports TRIM from what I understand.

I rathe rtrust their MEM > PSU. But general rule I say is for OCZ is it is a hit or miss with people. Of course the hit and miss doesn't help promote or help their reputation but when it works it is great. And hope they can focus on release more quality focus products in the future. The 1st Revodrive was not worth it, however the 2nd revision (X2) was a major improvement in terms of I/O operations.

These PCIe drives are way out of my price range but bring on the improvements!

My OCZ Agility 2 hasn't given me any trouble, but it's the only OCZ product I own.
