Have I hit the limit on my NB OC?

Specs are in sig rig. I'm stable at 3.8ghz 1.465vcore (1.45 idle, 1.40 load). NB is stable at 2.8ghz 1.275v (CPU-NB). My goal was 2.8 for NB. today I pushed for 3.0ghz NB. Even at 1.43v P95 still fails after a couple minutes. Is that increase in NB voltage worth it? I know NB ocing can have very positive effects on performance.

Also, with NB @ 2.8 my temps are around 55-56max in intel burn test maximum stress. To get my cpu 3.8 stable i need 1.465v in bios as opposed to 3.7 i need around 1.415v (this hasn't been extensively tested yet but it's around that ballpark, probably a couple notches higher). Should I drop down to 3.7 and keep trying to get a 3ghz nb because at 3.8 cpu/3.0 nb temps reached 55-56 within a couple minutes of IBT (plus my NB voltage will probably end up having to be around 1.45v and my room temp is also a bit cooler right now than usual).

What should I do?

What timings are your ram at 1600? Tighter timings you'll notice a difference in performance at 3000 but if loose the ram could be holding it back. Check the sticky in the AMD memory section with the benches.

They are at stock 9-9-9-24. i plan on tightening after i get the my NB OC stable. i read they can do 8-8-8 pretty easy. not sure after that. haven't really looked into ram settings yet but i know AMD generally prefers tighter timings vs higher clocks.
